Building of big Bouddha in Nara.

To try to give you an idea of the gigantism of this building, I advise you to look at this photography. Note the difference of size between the people in the foreground, just in front of the stone lantern and on the level of the door of the building.

The high building of 49 meters has more impressed me than the statue bronzes that mesure "only" 16 meters. The current structure, built in 1709, represents only 2/3 of the size of the original construction of 752.
